Marine Sues Boeing Over V-22 Osprey Fire

Law360, New York (September 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A young U.S. Marine who was injured in a fire on board a V-22 Osprey aircraft has filed suit against The Boeing Co. and Bell Helicopter Textron Inc., claiming that design flaws in the aircraft made it unsafe to operate.

Lawrence Jones of Bernalillo County, N.M., filed the suit Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico, more than three years after the fire.
