Judge Trims Claims In Genesco Class Action

Law360 (September 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A district court has pared down the claims in a putative class action against Genesco Inc. but has refused to dismiss a request for injunctive relief against the shoe retailer for alleged wage-and-hour violations.

Judge Frank C. Damrell Jr., of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California granted in part Genesco’s motion to dismiss on Wednesday, striking the plaintiffs’ conversion and punitive damages claims as untenable.
