CBS Sues NFL For Use Of Stats In Fantasy Football

Law360, New York (September 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- CBS Interactive Inc., which operates a number of fantasy sports leagues, has sued the National Football League Players Association, challenging the licensing fees the league wants to charge for player statistics.

In a suit filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, CBS claims that the players association wants CBS to pay licensing fees for the publicly available player statistics used in its fantasy service.
