Williams Mullen Adds Data Protection, Cybersecurity Practice

By Steven Trader (July 29, 2015, 8:49 PM EDT) -- Williams Mullen is expanding its service to include a team that will advise businesses on protecting their personal data, intellectual property and sensitive commercial information, the firm announced Wednesday.

The firm's data protection and cybersecurity practice will include a number of litigators who have represented the firm in court in those areas before, but the team will also draw on people from other practice areas such as health care and financial services to advise clients about how to handle their data. The new team's core will include roughly six to eight attorneys, with at least another six brought in from other practices...
