CPSC Clarifies Extent Of Bassinet Recall

Law360, New York (September 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two weeks after the U.S Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled 900,000 baby bassinets in connection with two infant fatalities, regulators alerted the public Thursday that the recall included bassinets made by Simplicity Inc. that appear under different logos.

The consumer watchdog said bassinets bearing a Winnie the Pooh design and the Graco Children’s Products Inc. logo were part of the Aug. 28 recall but were not specifically identified by their motif then and are not readily identifiable as Simplicity brand bassinets.
