DOJ Charges 2 Texas Cos. In Bid-Rigging Conspiracy

Law360, New York (September 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has accused two El Paso, Texas-based door and hardware companies of divvying up customers for local construction projects in an alleged bid-rigging conspiracy.

The indictment, returned by a federal grand jury in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas Wednesday, charged Architectural Products Co. Inc. and its president, Lindsay B. Holt, and El Paso Steel Doors and Frames Inc. and its vice president, Humberto Lopez, with bid-rigging. The grand jury also indicted Holt for obstruction of justice....
