USAF Contractor To Pay $2.8M In Faulty Equipment FCA Suit

By Bryan Koenig (August 20, 2015, 4:45 PM EDT) -- Defense contractor PoleZero Corp. has agreed to pay the government $2.8 million to settle allegations in Maryland federal court that it submitted false claims to the U.S. Air Force for E-3 AWACS aircraft program communications gear that didn't meet contractual specifications, the U.S. Department of Justice said Thursday.

According to the Justice Department, the company, which became part of Dover Corp. in 2007 and operated as a subcontractor for the E-3 AWACS program, knowingly sold the Air Force radiofrequency filters and integrated co-site equipment that didn't meet contractual specifications. The Justice Department noted that PoleZero denies the allegations.
