Acacia Settles Patent Dispute With Philips Electronics

Law360 (June 9, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A subsidiary of Acacia Research Corp. has struck a licensing deal with Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V., settling a patent infringement dispute over audio/video and image resolution enhancement technology.

The infringement suit is still ongoing, but Koninklijke Philips is no longer a defendant.
