W.L. Gore Wins Judgment In Aneurysm Patent Feud

Law360, New York (September 16, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Technology products manufacturer W.L. Gore & Associates Inc. has won summary judgment of noninfringement in a patent case brought by heart valve maker Edwards Lifesciences LLC.

Judge Jeffrey S. White of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California granted the summary judgement on Monday, saying that under the court’s construction of the claims, “no reasonable jury could conclude that Gore’s accused devices contain 'malleable' wires."
