U.S. Preparing For Fight With China Over Piracy

Law360 (June 9, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The United States may bring a World Trade Organization case against China because officials are failing to live up to their promises to stop intellectual property infringement, a top U.S. official said this week.

The Bush administration is determined to “hold China accountable,” said Assistant U.S. Trade Representative Timothy Stratford for China Affairs in a speech to the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission, a panel appointed by Congress.
