Ex-Williams Energy Manager Admits To Gas Price Scheme

Law360 (June 12, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Following a two-year investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, a third Williams Energy employee has pled guilty to engaging in a scheme to manipulate natural gas prices.

Daryl Russell Brown, a former operations manager and trader at Williams Cos. subsidiary Williams Energy Marketing & Trading, admitted to the conspiracy Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
