Con Ed Owes Customers $9M: NY State

Law360, New York (September 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Consolidated Edison Company of New York Inc. owes its customers $9 million for failing to meet reliability standards amid 2007 blackouts in New York City and Westchester County, New York State regulators said Wednesday.

According to a reliability report released this week by the state's Public Service Commission, Con Edison owes customers $5 million for a 48-minute network power outage affecting 137,000 Upper East Side and West Bronx customers in June 2007.
