Law360, New York (September 2, 2015, 5:32 PM EDT) -- A Tennessee federal jury on Thursday awarded a Memphis Light, Gas & Water Division staff attorney $92,000 after concluding that the municipal utility failed to adequately accommodate her while she dealt with medical complications arising from her high-risk pregnancy by spurning her request to work remotely.
Following an approximately weeklong trial, the jury held that plaintiff Andrea J. Mosby Meachem sufficiently proved she was qualified for the job and that the municipal utility failed to provide her with reasonable accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
