Samsung, Acacia Unit Settle Copier Patent Case

Law360, New York (September 22, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A subsidiary of Acacia Research Corp. has settled with yet another major electronics maker in a patent dispute over technology used in copiers and printers.

The patent-holding company said in a statement Monday that its International Printer Corp. subsidiary had reached a settlement and license agreement with Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and Samsung Electronics America Inc. that covers a portfolio of patents related to remote management of imaging devices.
