Hospitals Partially Win Catheter Co. Antitrust Class

Law360, New York (September 22, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has granted in part a motion seeking class certification in a case accusing C.R. Bard Inc. of an anti-competitive scheme that drove up prices of urological catheters for hospitals.

On Monday, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, Judge Thomas Mummert ruled that St. Francis Medical Center had shown that its antitrust claims, excluding certain disparagement allegations, were worthy of class certification.
