Judge Upholds Dana Corp. Asbestos Deals

Law360, New York (September 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A district judge has rejected a challenge to a bankruptcy court's approval of four settlements covering about 7,500 parties who asserted asbestos-related personal injury claims against auto parts maker Dana Corp.

Judge John G. Koeltl of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York signed off on a 21-page opinion and order affirming the bankruptcy court's Nov. 15, 2007, order approving the settlements.
