Teamsters Object To Frontier Bid To Toss Contracts

Law360, New York (September 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Union workers at Frontier Airlines are objecting to the bankrupt airline's request to reject collective bargaining agreements in favor of outsourcing and wage cuts, saying the proposal isn't necessary to get the company out of Chapter 11.

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters Airline Division filed a motion Monday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York objecting to the airline's plan to slash 130 maintenance jobs and cut wages and benefits, calling it an abuse of the bankruptcy laws.
