Alcatel Cries Foul At Microsoft Counterclaim

Law360, New York (September 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Alcatel USA Sourcing Inc. is seeking to block Microsoft Corp. from bringing new products into a patent dispute between the two companies, saying Microsoft should be limited to the single product it originally targeted.

Alcatel sued Microsoft over a series of communication patents in November 2006 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Microsoft shot back in May 2007 with a counterclaim that Alcatel infringed one of its patents, U.S. Patent Number 6,674,767.
