Judge Delays Sentencing Of Enron Duo

Law360, New York (June 19, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has pushed off the sentencing for former Enron Corp. chief executives Kenneth Lay and Jeffrey Skilling, who were found guilty by a jury last month for the fraud and conspiracy that led to Enron’s nosedive into bankruptcy.

Judge Sim Lake of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas approved a motion by the defense teams to postpone sentencing for the former Enron executives from Sept. 11 to Oct. 23.
