Vultures Circle As Heller Ehrman Set To Break Apart

Law360 (September 26, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After more than a century in the legal business, Heller Ehrman LP is closing up shop as a majority of partners opt to dissolve the firm rather than enter bankruptcy.

On Friday, the partners at the 118-year-old law firm Heller Ehrman LP will vote to disband, reportedly securing enough partner votes to meet the two-thirds threshold necessary for such a move.

Numerous firms are already licking their chops over the San-Francisco-based firm, with Baker & McKenzie, Mayer Brown LLP and Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP said...
