Turkey Workers Trot Out Donning, Doffing Class Action

Law360, New York (September 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Workers at a Colorado turkey plant have hit Butterball LLC with a proposed class action alleging they were not paid for time spent donning and doffing special clothes in preparation for their work.

The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado on Thursday, names as as putative class of plaintiffs anyone who worked as an hourly production and support employee at a Longmont, Colo., plant within the last three years or any Colorado plant in the last two years.
