Antitrust Suit V. Chase Paymentech To Go Forward

Law360, New York (September 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Top national payment processing firms accused of orchestrating an “elegant and insidious” scheme to corner the restaurant point-of-sale market in violation of the Sherman Act on Monday lost their bid to have an antitrust case thrown out of court.

Judge Freda L. Wolfson of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey denied Chase Paymentech Solutions LLC's motion to dismiss tying and conspiracy claims. A motion to dismiss state law claims also was denied.
