Bank Wants Funds From $18.5M Lehman Account

Law360 (October 1, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Norway's DnB Nor Bank ASA wants the Manhattan bankruptcy court to lift the automatic stay protecting Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. to gain access to millions of dollars in a DnB deposit account kept by the collapsed investment bank.

In a motion Tuesday to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, DnB said it was entitled to use the account's holdings to offset the $25 million owed by Lehman under a prepetition credit agreement.
