Injunction Bid Denied In Poultry Waste Suit

Law360 (October 1, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has denied the State of Oklahoma's bid to bar a flock of chicken and turkey breeders from dumping “poultry litter” on protected lands while a legal battle over the environmental effects of poultry waste wages on.

U.S. District Judge Gregory R. Frizzell of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma signed an order Monday denying Oklahoma's request for a preliminary injunction enjoining the poultry integrators from disposing of waste in the Illinois River Watershed pending a trial in the suit....
