ITC Confirms Previous Ruling In Chip Patent Case

Law360 (June 21, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission is upholding a ruling by an ITC administrative law judge that Actions Semiconductor Co.’s audio processing integrated circuits violated SigmaTel Inc.’s patents.

The decision, announced Tuesday, comes three months after the initial ruling. A version of one of the two patents was sent back to the administrative law judge, Paul J. Luckern, for additional review, according to SigmaTel. The final decision on that patent is due by September 15. The other patent was infringed upon, the ITC ruled.
