Oracle Sued Over Database Management System

Law360 (October 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An Australian company has filed a suit against Oracle Corp. alleging that several versions of Oracle's database management system products encroach on two data processing patents.

Financial Systems Technology (Intellectual Property) Pty. Ltd. and subsidiary Financial Systems Technology Pty. Ltd. filed the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, accusing Oracle of willfully infringing the patents in suit.

Both patents asserted by FST were recently reissued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
