FCC Ruling On Adelphia Sale Expected By Mid-July

Law360 (June 22, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Within the next few weeks, regulators expect to complete their review of Adelphia Communications Corp.’s plan to sell its assets to Time Warner Inc. and Comcast Corp., bringing the company one step closer to the end of a long stay in Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

“I think the Commission will try to address it by the middle of July,” said Kevin Martin, the chairman of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission, at the agency’s monthly meeting.
