Foxwoods Appeals NLRB Ruling

Law360, New York (October 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The tribe that operates Foxwoods Resort Casino has filed an appeal of a National Labor Relations Board's ruling ordering it to bargain with 2,600 dealers represented by the United Auto Workers, arguing the tribe's own labor law, and not the NLRA, has jurisdiction.

Mashantucket Pequot Gaming Enterprise filed an appeal Thursday with the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, asserting that the tribe’s business should not be required to recognize the union under U.S. law.
