Lawyers Look To High Court For Superfund Clarity

Law360 (October 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Shell Oil Co. Superfund case headed for the U.S. Supreme Court could for the first time set the standard for what landowners must do to unload some of their cleanup liability, potentially wiping away uncertainty that for years prompted many companies to settle rather than fight joint and several liability in the courts, attorneys said.
