China Commission To Enforce Anti-Monopoly Law

Law360, New York (June 26, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Taking the next step toward revamping its competition rules, China said this week it will create a special panel of government officials, legal experts and economists in a bid to enforce a proposed anti-monopoly law that is slated for passage in the near future.

The news came as the country’s parliament is reviewing the long-awaited antitrust law, which is scheduled to go into effect by next year.
