Del. Approves Wind Power Deals

Law360, New York (October 9, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Delaware Public Service Commission has green-lit three contracts for the purchase of up to 170 megawatts of energy from land-based wind farms, bringing the state closer to its goal of 20 percent renewable energy by 2019, Delmarva Power said Wednesday.

Energy suppliers say the wind farms, which will be built in Pennsylvania and Maryland, will be finished by 2009 and 2010.
