Extradition Looms For U.K. Bankers

Law360 (June 27, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Delivering a fatal legal blow, the European Court of Human Rights has refused to interrupt extradition proceedings against three British bankers facing trial in Texas on Enron-related charges.

David Bermingham, Gary Mulgrew and Giles Darby, former executives at Greenwich National Westminster, a unit of Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC, are expected to be deported to the U.S. next month after exhausting all available legal avenues.
