Patriot Scientific Sues Matsushita Over Chip Clock-Speed Patent

Law360 (January 8, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- Patriot Scientific Corporation continued to press its multimillion-dollar litigation against chip makers, suing Japanese electronics maker Matsushita in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey over its patent for microprocessor clock speeds.

Matsushita products are sold under the Panasonic brand in many countries.

Shortly before Christmas, the company sued Sony, Fujitsu, Toshiba and NEC over the same patent, seeking damages in excess of several hundred million dollars.
