Insurers Beat Indemnification Claims In High Court

Law360 (October 20, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Indiana Supreme Court has found in favor of insurance companies in a dispute over whether U.S. Filter Corp. and Waste Management Holdings Inc. are entitled to indemnification for product liability litigation arising from workers who alleged silica exposure.

The lower court had found that U.S. Filter and Waste Management were entitled to recover the costs of defending product liability and bodily injury claims against plaintiffs who alleged their work near the Wheelabrator blast machine exposed them to silica.
