Fed. Circ. Reverses Verisign Credit Card Patent Claims

Law360 (October 20, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An appellate court has reversed in part a summary judgment granted to Verisign Inc. and other defendants in a feud with Net MoneyIN Inc. over patents for encryption techniques used to secure credit card transactions over the Internet.

On Monday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit affirmed a portion of the Arizona district court's judgment in favor of Verisign Inc. and other defendants that invalidated several of Net MoneyIN's credit-card technology patent claims.
