Chrysler Faces Class Action Over 'Faulty' V6 Engines

Law360, New York (October 21, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Florida motorist has filed a putative class action against Chrysler LLC for what she claims is a “catastrophic” design defect in the engines of thousands of cars manufactured by the automaker between 1998 and 2004.

The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida on Monday, claims four of the car giant's models were equipped with the same faulty V6 engine and sold or leased to drivers in the state.
