Silicon Valley Counsel: Rambus' Kent Richardson

Law360 (July 5, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Computer memory innovator Rambus Inc. is constantly looking out for its IP “Sweet Spot,” a term coined by the company’s top brass to define the nexus of technology licensing and patent licensing.

Those executives, who all live and breathe intellectual property, tasked attorney Kent Richardson with protecting their mission as Rambus’ vice president of intellectual property.

Richardson, a computer engineer and native of Canada, understands that his company’s Sweet Spot is always under threat from competitors.
