LeapFrog Recalls Batteries, Chargers Amid Burn Fears

Law360, New York (October 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Toymaker LeapFrog Enterprises Inc. has issued a voluntary recall of rechargeable batteries and a recharging station for one of its gaming systems amid reports that the batteries could overheat and cause burns.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and LeapFrog announced the recall, which could affect around 35,500 units, to the public on Thursday.

The rechargeable batteries and stations were made in China and are used to power the Didj Custom Gaming System, according to the CPSC.
