Hedge Fund Manager Pleads Not Guilty

Law360, New York (July 10, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former hedge fund manager facing numerous charges of mail and securities fraud in connection with missing cash totaling more than $100 million has pleaded not guilty.

Kirk Wright, alleged to have participated in the disappearance of money from investment vehicle International Management Associates, entered the plea Wednesday.

Wright was indicted in June on 24 charges in connection to allegations that he mailed false asset statements to clients and peddled fraudulent information to convince some clients to invest.
