Nacchio Pre-Trial Hearing Delayed Over Security Issues

Law360, New York (July 10, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The insider trading case against former Qwest Communications chief executive Joe Nacchio hit a roadblock Friday, with a motions hearing postponed to allow the court more time to complete security clearances and determine procedures for viewing classified government documents that may become part of the fallen executive’s defense strategy.

The pre-trial hearing, originally scheduled for July 14, was delayed by U.S. District Judge Edward Nottingham until August 25 to allow the court to finalize the logistics of viewing documents under the federal Classified Information Procedures Act....
