Extradition Day Arrives For U.K. Bankers

Law360 (July 10, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Having exhausted all legal avenues in their home country, three British bankers will be extradited at the end of this week to stand trial in Texas on Enron-related fraud charges.

The trio’s lawyer revealed the news on Monday, indicating that the group is scheduled to depart on Thursday morning.

The so-called NatWest three—David Bermingham, Gary Mulgrew and Giles Darby—are former executives of Greenwich National Westminster, a unit of Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC.
