Law360, New York (October 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- On Sep. 25, 2008, President Bush signed the ADA Amendments Act (the “Act”) into law. Although the Act does not take effect until Jan. 1, 2009, employers should familiarize themselves with the expanded scope of protections which will soon be available to employees under the federal Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (the “ADA”).
