US Tries Again To Delist Rockies' Gray Wolves

Law360 (October 27, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Rebuffed by a federal judge earlier this year, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is trying again to remove the gray wolf of the northern Rocky Mountains from the endangered species list and has reopened public comment on its plan to delist the species.

In a notice to be published Tuesday in the Federal Register, the agency announced it was seeking comments and additional information on the plan. After the one-month public comment period ends, Endangered Species Act protections for gray wolves could again be suspended....
