EU Continues Push For Transparency In Investor-State Fights

Law360, New York (January 7, 2016, 4:57 PM EST) -- The European Union said Thursday it will contribute €100,000 ($109,265) to fund a public register of documents from international investor-to-state dispute settlement cases and decisions of ISDS tribunals as part of a far-reaching initiative to increase transparency.

The register supports the implementation of the ISDS transparency rules of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law, which have been in place since April 2014, the European Commission said in a statement.
