Blade Server Patent Holder Takes Shot At IBM, HP

Law360, New York (October 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Patent holder Acceleron LLC has sued a slew of computer makers, including IBM Corp. and Hewlett-Packard Co., accusing them of selling products that infringe a patent that lets computer blade servers operate with little or no downtime.

Delaware-based Acceleron has been damaged by the alleged infringing acts and will continue to be damaged if the companies are not enjoined from further infringing acts, according to the lawsuit filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
