SeraCare, Shareholders Agree To Exclusivity Deal

Law360 (July 12, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- SeraCare Life Sciences Inc. has overcome stiff objections from its shareholders to extend control over its reorganization plan with a new agreement. The deal is an about-face for shareholders, who had sought to reduce the company’s exclusivity period and file their own plan.

According to a stipulation filed Monday, the parties agreed to an Aug. 4 deadline for SeraCare to outline its proposed exit from Chapter 11 protection. The deal also gives SeraCare until Oct. 4 to win the necessary approval from its shareholders.
