Three More Insurers Settle With Kaiser

Law360, New York (July 12, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A week after emerging from Chapter 11, aerospace and automotive aluminum producer Kaiser Aluminum Corp. is continuing to tie up loose ends by asking the bankruptcy court to approve three more insurance agreements that will net $34.7 million.

After being parked in Chapter 11 for more than four years, Kaiser Aluminum pulled out of bankruptcy protection last Thursday following a $4.5 million settlement over its cancer-causing asbestos liability claims.
