NY AG Moves To Stamp Out Wind Farm Graft

Law360, New York (October 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo unveiled a new ethics code Thursday to create “unprecedented transparency” in wind farm development, which has been plagued by charges of shady dealing between upstate officials and out-of-state companies.

Cuomo's code creates a multiagency task force with several New York district attorneys to oversee wind power and establishes public disclosure requirements for wind companies.
