Conservation Groups Sue Govt. Over Logging Plan

Law360 (October 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Five California conservation groups have filed a lawsuit against the U.S. government, claiming its decision to forgo a public comment period on a draft plan for logging practices in Oregon violates federal regulations.

The lawsuit, filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon, targets the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, the Department of the Interior and BLM State Director Edward W. Shepard.
