Calif. Should Nix Renewable Energy Line: ALJ

Law360, New York (November 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The controversial 150-mile Sunrise Powerlink Transmission Project to bring alternative energy to San Diego would needlessly damage the California's wilderness, an administrative law judge has said in a proposed decision rejecting the project.

On Friday, Administrative Law Judge Jean Vieth said in a 263-page decision that the Public Utilities Commission of the State of California should deny the San Diego Gas & Electric Company's application for a permit for the project.
